| `charge_cost` | `uint8` | default `1` | Exact charges paid by this option. Charge-consuming legacy rows omit it and retain their one-charge behavior. |
| `consumption` | `MagicActivationConsumption` | optional | Authored consumption. |
| `extra_charge_upcast` | `boolean` | default `false` | Authored extra charge upcast. |
| `max_charge_cost` | `integer` | optional | Inclusive upper cost for a variable-charge option. |
| `payload` | `MagicActivationPayload` | required | Authored payload. |
| `range_ft_override` | `integer` | optional | An item-specific range for an otherwise ordinary spell payload (for example a thrown bead). Absent preserves the spell's printed range. |
| `requires` | `ItemModeRequirement` | default `"Carried"` | Physical custody required when this activation is committed. A released effect may outlast that relationship unless it authors a hard end of its own. |
| `save_dc` | `integer` | optional | Item-authored resolution overrides; absent uses the bearer spell stats. |
| `slot_level` | `integer` | optional | Slot level produced at `charge_cost`; each additional charge raises it by one when `extra_charge_upcast` is true. |
| `spell_attack_bonus` | `integer` | optional | Authored spell attack bonus. |
| `successful_save_immunity_secs` | `integer` | optional | After a creature succeeds on this activation's saving throw (initially or while repeating a save to end its effect), that creature is immune to this exact item instance and activation for this many world seconds. |
